
The Secretariat of the High Council of Justice has completed the reception of documents from candidates for the position of the HCJ member, who will be elected to the Council by the Congress of Judges
As it was reported, on July 11-13, 2022, the 19th Extraordinary Congress of Judges of Ukraine will be held, the agenda of which includes the issue of electing members of the HCJ.
The date and venue of the Congress are determined by the decision of the Council of Judges of Ukraine as of May 12, 2022 No.12. At the time of the decision of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, 8 (eight) positions of members of the High Council of Justice are vacant according to the quota of the Congress of Judges.
Documents were submitted by 60 candidates. Of these, local courts are represented by 35 judges (20 general; 9 economic; 6 administrative); courts of appeal – 14 judges (9 - general; 2 – economic; 3 – administrative); Supreme Anti-Corruption Court – 1 judge; Supreme Court – 9 judges; Supreme Court of Ukraine – 1 judge.
Of these, 52 are acting judges, 8 are retired judges.
