
In response to the appeal of the Acting Chairman of the HCJ Viktor Hryshchuk, the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union and the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary in their declaration noted the strong condemnation of the sever breach of international law and aggressive act of war committed by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
They appeal for a return to civil forms of debate in accordance with international law, respecting human rights, the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
The Network participants expressed the utmost concern for the citizens of Ukraine and noted their solidarity with the people and the judicial system of our state.
Representatives of these organizations assured that they would support the Supreme Court, the High Council of Justice and the entire Ukrainian judiciary in dealing with this most serious crisis, using all their extent possibilities.
The Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union and the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary call upon EU Member States and EU Institutions to take on all means and resources that the rule of law places at their disposal to end the injustice.
