May 8 and 9 are the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Victory Day over Nazism in the Second World War.
The victory over Nazism – a figment of titanic efforts of dozens of states and hundreds of people, no country can claim recognition of its own exceptional role in overcoming the carriers of misanthropic ideology. Ukraine honors the memory of everyone who fought against Nazism, as well as all the victims of war. Our people made a significant contribution to the victory, Ukrainian land was one of the main battlefields in this war, the price of the victory was extraordinary losses among Ukrainians.
Now, just as in years of the Second world war, Ukraine fights with the insidious aggressor. Today it is putin’s russia, which encroached on our independence and unity, tries to destroy an international system of security and threatens peace in all of Europe. This fight continues for eight years already. For us, this is the war for freedom, civilization, democracy and European values against the imperial ambitions of the cruel invader. Ukrainians protect Europe every day and give chance for the establishment of a new, more fair world security system, for building more lasting peace and law and order. But the condition for this – is the victory over russia, restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the impossibility of future aggression of russians against anyone on the planet.
The actions of the Russian occupiers show at least signs of genocide against Ukrainian citizens. Committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine, russia lost any moral right to appeal to the heritage of victory over Nazism, as by its actions it, de facto, repeats Nazi crimes and profanes the memory of the deed of veterans and participants of the Second world war.
In 1939–1945 the world fought against Nazism, now the humanity is threatened with the rashism, the spread of which is constrained by Ukraine. The High Council of Justice has repeatedly emphasized the need for condemnation on the international level of the misanthropic ideology of “rashism” itself to prevent the existence and development of such a shameful phenomenon in a civilized world.
The crimes of RF in Ukraine must be stopped by joint efforts of all civilized world, and the russian putin's regime – defeated and condemned the same as the Nazism.
