18 judges resigned

On April 29, 2025, the HCJ decided to dismiss due to the submission of applications for resignation seven judges. The list – at the link.

On May 8, 2025,  the HCJ decided to dismiss Bezruk Tetiana Mykhailivna from the office of the judge of the Commercial court of Poltava region due to her filing of application for resignation.

There are 26 candidates for two vacant positions of HCJ members from the congress of judges of Ukraine

The HCJ Secretariat finished accepting documents from candidates for two positions of members of the High Council of Judges to be elected during the XX regular congress of judges of Ukraine. The deadline for candidates to submit documents was April 28, 2025.

High Council of Justice supported the formation of specialized administrative courts

The HCJ approved an advisory opinion щregarding the draft law “On formation of the Specialized circuit administrative court, the Specialized appellate administrative court”.

The draft law proposes to form two new courts with the specialized administrative jurisdiction located in Kyiv and with territorial jurisdiction over the entire territory of Ukraine. The establishment of these courts will enable competitive and other procedures to be launched for the formation of the mentioned courts.

Judge of the Tyvrivskyi district court of Vinnytsia region Ihor Ratushniak was temporarily suspended from administering justice based on the decision of the Third disciplinary chamber of the HCJ

The decision to bring a judge to disciplinary liability and apply a disciplinary penalty to him in the form of submission for dismissal from the office was made by the Third Disciplinary Chamber of the HCJ on April 30, 2025.

A competition announced for disciplinary inspector positions

On April 29, 2025, the HCJ announced the competition for positions of disciplinary inspectors of the Service of Disciplinary Inspectors of the High Council of Justice (4 positions).

HCJ will make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing judge to the Sarnenskyi district court of Rivne region

On May 6, 2025, the HCJ decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing Slobodianiuk Borys Kostiantynovych to the position of the Sarnenskyi district court of Rivne region.

The activity of the HCJ Secretariat in figures for January – April, 2025

From January to April 2025 the Secretariat of the High Council of Justice processed 2036 citizen appeals and 331 information requests; prepared 3,571 cover letters for sending copies of acts of the HCJ and its bodies, issued 4,869 copies of acts of the HCJ, its bodies and members, edited 7,867 pages of draft HCJ documents; 824 appeals were received from citizens on the HCJ hotline at (044) 481-06-26.

Within four months of 2025, the official website of the High Council of Justice published 2715 HCJ acts, 860 other documents, and 229 news items; 497 information materials were posted on the social media platforms of the High Council of Justice.  Nearly 1,000 informational materials were published in the «Press Center» section of the «Judiciary of Ukraine» web portal.
