
The HCJ gave consent to hold retired judge Volodymyr Babenko in castody
The HCJ satisfied the submission of the Deputy Prosecutor General – the Head of the SAP and gave consent in custody retired judge Volodymyr Babenko.
The HCH dismissed six judges under general grounds
On April 4, 2023 the HCJ decided to dismiss under submission of applications for resignation two judges of the Economic court of Lviv region – Synchuk Mykola Mykolaiovych and Yurkevych Mykhailo Vasyliovych.
On April 6, 2023 the HCJ decided to dismiss under submission of applications for resignation:

Hlibko Olena Vasylivna – from the office of judge of the Ordzhonikidzevskyi district court of the city of Kharkiv;

Horiainova Kateryna Anatoliivna – from the office of judge of the Yuzhnyi local court of Odesa region;
-
Sukhanovaу Yelizaveta Mykolaivna – from the office of judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal.
Dmytriieva Oksana Olehivna was dismissed from the office of judge of the Kherson circuit administrative court under submission of application for dismissal on her free will.
Procedure of secondment judges to four courts has begun
According to decisions of the HCJ dated April 4, 2023 № 305/0/15-23 and № 307/0/15-23 and dated April 6, 2023 № 320/0/15-23 and № 321/0/15-23 it was announced by the HCJ about the beginning of the procedure for seconding judges to another court of the same level and specialization to administer justice, in particular, to:
the Brovarskyi local-district court of Kyiv – 3 judges;
the Berezanskyi district court of Mykolaiv region – 1 judge;
the Biliaivskyi district court of Odesa region – 2 judges;
the Nikopolskyi local-district court of Dnipropetrovsk region – 1 judge.
Judges who expressed the wish to be seconded to mentioned court should submit to the High Council of Justice within ten days (from the date of the announcement of the beginning of the procedure for seconding judges) necessary documents.
The “Legislation” section of the HCJ website has been improved
Under the heading “Laws and Regulations” relevant national and international documents are accumulated. The information is structured into separate headings and subheadings, which contain documents on areas.
The HCJ by its decision dated April 6, 2023 № 319/0/15-23 extended the term to give a consent to a secondment of four judges to the Zarichnyi district court of the city of Sumy until April 16, 2023.
Hryhorii Usyk, the Chairman the HCJ, led a delegation of the judiciary authorities heads, which on April 5-6, 2023 was on a working visit to Ivano-Frankivsk region within the framework of the implementation of Model Courts Initiative of the EU Project Pravo-Justice.
On the first day, there were visited the Dolynsky and Tlumatskyi district courts of Ivano-Frankivsk region, which are participants in the implementation of Model Courts Initiative, as well as the Ivano-Frankivsk local court and court of appeal. The heads of these courts and heads of apparatuses presented their developments on improving the system of organizing the work of courts. On the second day of the visit, representatives of the delegation took part in the conference “Court Administration Capacity: from European Experience to Ukrainian Implementation”.
The Chairman of the HCJ thanked the European Union Project Pravo-Justice, which, among other areas of assistance to the judicial system of Ukraine, launched Model Courts Initiative in 2018, aimed at implementing a number of model solutions in the field of judicial administration, in particular, increasing the client-orientation of courts, ensuring proper security of judges, staff and court visitors, as well as improvement of work processes in courts.
