Procedure of secondment judges to four courts has began
The High Council of Justice announces about the beginning of the procedure for seconding judges to another court of the same level and specialization to administer justice, in particular, to:
the Apostolivskyi district court of Dnipropetrovsk region – 2 judges;
the Koziatynskyi local-district court of Vinnytsia region – 2 judges;
the Sumy court of appeal – 5 judges;
the Ternivskyi local court of Dnipropetrivsk region – 1 judge.
The HCJ partially satisfied petition of the Deputy Prosecutor General – Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and temporarily, until June 4, 2023, suspended judge of the Koretskyi district court of the Rivne region Kulyk Ye.V. from the administration of justice in connection with criminal prosecution.
A pre-trial investigation is being carried out against him by the NABU detectives. The judge is suspected of committing a criminal offense under the third part of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was notified of the suspicion on April 4, 2023. According to the decision of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court, a preventive measure in the form of bail was applied to the suspect.
The High Council of Justice has started interviews with candidates for the position of the HQCJU
Interviews will be held in accordance with the approved schedule. It is planned that on May 12, 2023 they will be completed.
Organizational bases, principles, criteria and procedure are defined in the Methodology for conducting interviews, selection and appointment of candidates for the position of a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine by the High Council of Justice.
The purpose of an interview is to select and appoint candidates recommended by the Selection Commission to the position of a member of the HQCJU. The HCJ will broadcast interviews with candidates in real time on the HCJ YouTube channel. Information on the candidate's compliance with the criteria defined by law and the Methodology is subject to discussion during the interview.

The HCJ supports the draft law on the mandatory use of electronic cabinets in the UJITS
The High Council of Justice approved an advisory opinion, which generally supported the draft law № 7574-д on the mandatory registration and use of electronic cabinets in the Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System by representatives of legal professions, legal entities and individuals – entrepreneurs.
As follows from the explanatory note, the implementation of the draft law will ensure the gradual introduction of electronic communications with the court, and will also contribute to the mandatory registration and use of electronic cabinets in the UJITS for a separate category of participants in the process in the electronic cabinet will enable the courts to communicate and summon the relevant participants in electronic form, saving money (there are no costs for paper, stamps, stationery), and also significantly saves time (summoning in electronic form, in contrast to making a summon by mail, takes much less time).
The HCJ gave its consent to detain judge Larysa Bohomolova
The High Council of Justice gave its consent to the detention of judge of the Poltavskyi district court of Poltava region Larysa Bohomolova, seconded from the Berdianskyi local-district court of the Zaporizhzhia region.
This decision was made following the consideration of the Deputy Prosecutor General's submission, received on May 2, 2023.
Bohomolova L.V. is suspected of committing a criminal offense provided for in the second part of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely high treason, i.e. an act wilfully committed by a citizen of Ukraine to the detriment of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defence capability, and state, economic or information security of Ukraine by providing to a representative of a foreign state assistance in subversive activities against Ukraine, committed under martial law.
