HCJ will make submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 48 judges to local courts
On May 21, 2024, the HCJ decided to make submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 10 judges to positions in local courts. The list is at the link.
On May 23, 2024, the HCJ decided to make submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 15 judges to positions in local courts. The list is at the link.
On May 28, 2024, the HCJ decided to make submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 11 judges to positions in local courts. The list is at the link.
On May 30, 2024, the HCJ decided to make submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 12 judges to positions in local courts. The list is at the link.
Four judges resigned
On May 23, 2024, the HCJ decided to dismiss Starosieltseva Oksana Valeriivna from the office of the judge of the Kharkiv circuit administrative court due to her application for resignation.
On May 28, 2024, the HCJ decided to dismiss two judges due to their applications for resignation, namely:
Shlapak Dmytro Olehovych – from the office of the judge of the Vinnytskyi city court of Vinnytsia region;
Viunyk Nataliia Hryhorivna – from the office of the judge of the Velykopysarivskyi district court of Sumy region.
On May 30, 2024, the HCJ decided to dismiss Myslyva Liubov Mihalivna from the office of the judge of the Teplodarskyi city court of Odesa region due to her application for resignation.
HCJ postponed the restoration of work of the Bilozerskyi district court of Kherson region
Because of the security situation in Kherson region, on May 30, 2024, the HCJ made a decision to postpone the restoration of work of the Bilozerskyi district court of Kherson region till August 1, 2024.
Kherson city court of Kherson region will continue the consideration of cases, received till July 31, 2024, inclusive.
HCJ members Oleksandr Sasevych, Olena Kovbii, Serhii Burlakov participated in the International scientific and practical conference “Legal collisions in implementation of fundamental rights and freedoms”, which took place at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
In the context of Ukraine's accession to the European Union and preparation of the judicial system for changes in the legal field, it is extremely important to familiarize ourselves with international experience. So judges from Austria and the Netherlands shared their experience and vision of this topic.
