In the first quarter of 2022 the HCJ made decisions on dismissal 33 judges

Such data are given in the information and analytical reference on the activity of the High Council of Justice for January-March 2022.

During the first quarter of 2022, the High Council of Justice made decisions on dismissal of 28 judges from their positions on general grounds, namely, due to the submission of applications for resignation. On special grounds 5 judges were dismissed – for committing a substantive disciplinary offence.

It should be noted that for the same period of 2021, 41 judges were dismissed:

on general grounds 34 judges were dismissed (33 – due to the submission of applications for resignation, 1 – due to the submission of an application for dismissal on their own will);

on special grounds 7 judges were dismissed (6 – for committing a substantive disciplinary offence, 1 – as a result of recognition according to the results of the qualification assessment as not corresponding to the position held).

In general, in 2021, the HCJ made decisions on the dismissal of 201 judges.

Also, it is worth saying that since the beginning of 2022 the HCJ made submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 2 judges to positions in local courts.

It should be reminded that during 2021, the HCJ made submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointing 109 judges.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in 2021 signed 28 Decrees, by which supported the submissions of the High Council of Justice on appointing 117 judges.
