With the assistance of the EU Project Pravo-Justice and the USAID Justice for All Activity, a joint strategic session of the High Council of Justice and the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine was held to develop joint decisions on key issues in the activities of judicial governance bodies.
Members of the HCJ and the HQCJU, with the advisory support of experts, determined the goals, principles and processes for assessing judges to work out a shared vision of ways to achieve the main goal – the formation of an honest and highly professional corps of judges.
International and national experts introduced the members of the HCJ and the HQCJU to the best international practices in the selection and assessment of judges, and their promotion.
The event was attended by members of the HCJ and the HQCJU and experts of the projects: Anna Adamska-Gallant, Reda Moliene, Anna Sukhova, Oleksandra Baklanova, Mirosław Wyrzykowski, as well as international expert of the USAID Justice for All Activity Pavol Žilinčík.
