
The Judicial Initiative for Open Judiciary (ZOJ) expressed support for Ukrainian judges and noted its readiness to afford maximum assistance in the fight for the rule of law in Ukraine.
Representatives of the Initiative also stated that they would initiate assistance and support measures on the platform of the European Association of Judges, aimed at bringing an end to the war and restoring proper functioning of the judiciary in Ukraine.
Colleagues from Slovakia expressed their readiness to facilitate in bringing the war conflict to an end as soon as possible, and to bring to personal accountability the representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus that responsible for all the tragic consequences of their actions for the lives of the Ukrainians.
As it noted in the letter of the Initiative, the actions of these states at waging this war is in flagrant violation of elementary principles of humanity and of the Geneva Conventions on respect for the rules of international humanitarian law.
