On August 12, 2025, the High Council of Justice appointed Ihor Vitaliiovych Kushnir as a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
On May 30, 2025, the Competition Commission for the selection of candidates for the positions of members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine approved the final list of recommended candidates for the position of a member of the HQCJ, which included Oksana Leonidivna Vozniuk and Ihor Vitaliiovych Kushnir.
On July 15, 2025, the High Council of Justice conducted interviews with the two aforementioned candidates.
Members of the HCJ select the candidate for appointment as a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine based on their own judgment and analysis of the information obtained from the candidate’s dossier and during the interview, by comparing all candidates who participated in the interviews, taking into account the requirements of parts three and four of Article 92 of the Law of Ukraine «On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges.»
The discussion and formation of the list of candidates for appointment as a member of the HQCJ is conducted confidentially and is not subject to public disclosure.
When appointing a candidate as a member of the HQCJ, the HCJ applies the principle of positive selection.
