The “Legislation” section of the HCJ website has been improved

The “Legislation” section of the HCJ website has been improved for the convenience of users. Under the heading “Laws and Regulations” relevant national and international documents are accumulated. The information is structured into separate headings and subheadings, which contain documents on areas.

Thus, this section contains links to the Constitution of Ukraine and the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in the field of justice; there were collected laws and by-laws regulating the activities of the judiciary, as well as acts that guide the work of the High Council of Justice.

In the subheading “International acts and practice of the ECtHR” the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and judgements of the European Court of Human Rights can be found for review.

Under the heading “International judicial standards” there is link to the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Conduct. It is possible to read recommendations of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, opinions of the Consultative Council of European Judges, CEPEJ and the Venice Commission, Basic Principles of the Independence of the Judiciary; European Charter on the Statute for Judges etc.

In addition, there are links to the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors opinions and documents of the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary.

It is to be hoped that this collected and structured regulatory legal acts will contribute to the work of visitors of the HCJ website.
