The plenipotentiary composition of the High Council of Justice was restored

On January 11 and 12, 2023, during the XIX Extraordinary Congress of Judges of Ukraine, eight members of the High Council of Justice were elected by secret ballot. The Congress of Judges of Ukraine has filled its quota as part of the Council.

Members of the HCJ are:

Bokova Yuliia – judge of the Economic court of Donetsk region (220 votes);

Bondarenko Tetiana – judge of the Mykolaiv court of appeal (186 votes);

Burlakov Serhii – judge of the Civil Cassation Court within the Supreme Court (179 votes).

Kovbii Olena – judge of Kherson circuit administrative court (164 votes);

Kotelevets Alla – judge of the Kharkiv court of appeal (214 votes);

Popikova Olha – judge of the Northern economic court of appeal (221 votes);

Sasevych Oleksandr – judge of the Lviv circuit administrative court (230 votes);

Usyk Hryhorii – judge of the Civil Cassation Court within the Supreme Court (243 votes).

Newly appointed members of the High Council of Justice took their oath.

According to Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine “On the High Council of Justice”, the High Council of Justice shall be considered fully functional if it at least fifteen of its members are elected (appointed), out of whom the majority are judges, including retired judges, and who took the oath of the office.
