Another important step will be the resumption of the procedure for considering disciplinary complaints against the actions of judges, which will increase the level of confidence in the judiciary. I hope it will happen soon,” noted the Chairman of the HCJ.

Hryhorii Usyk recalled the recent working visit of the HCJ delegation to the Council of Europe, in course of which the CoE representatives testified to Ukraine’s support and readiness for further cooperation, including in the field of preventing and eliminating corruption risks and introducing anti-corruption mechanisms.

The signing of the Memorandum is a proactive approach to make such corruption scandals impossible, which beak confidence in the entire system,” said Acting Head of the NACP Artem Sytnyk.

The Memorandum envisages the consolidation of efforts in the formation and implementation of the state anti-corruption policy, as well as ensuring the independence of the judiciary, its functioning on the basis of responsibility, accountability to society, formation of an honest and highly professional corps of judges, compliance with the norms of the Constitution of Ukraine and laws of Ukraine.
