Another 33 judges are to join the judicial corps

On June 4, 2020, the High Council of Justice decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 33 candidates to positions of judges. Namely:

SMETANA Vasyl Mykolaiovych – to the position of the judge of the Horokhivskyi district court of Volyn region;

MARTSYNOVSKA Iryna Viktorivna – to the position of the judge of the Ternopilskyi city district court of Ternopil region;

28 candidates will be able to be appointed to positions of judges to local general courts

On June 2, 2020, the High Council of Justice decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 26 candidates to positions of judges in local general courts by the results of selections from 2012, 2013, 2017 years, and also two judges, who successfully passed the qualification assessment.

 

HCJ generally supported the draft law regarding the reorganization of the Supreme Court of Ukraine and the new procedure of formation of the HQCJU – an advisory opinion was approved

On the official website of the High Council of Justice was published the text of the decision made on May 26, 2020, No. 1551/0/15-20 on giving an advisory opinion to the draft Law of Ukraine “On making amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” and certain laws of Ukraine regarding the activity of the Supreme Court and judicial governance bodies”, that was received from the Office of the President of Ukraine.

HCJ will make a submission on appointing 21 candidate to positions of judges

On May 28, 2020, the High Council of Justice continued the consideration of materials regarding making a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing candidates to positions of judges in local general courts, out of 467 recommendations, given by the High Qualification Commission of Judges, by the results of selections from 2012, 2013, 2017 years.

In total, the HCJ decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 363 candidates to positions of judges out of planned for consideration.

A decision made to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 22 candidates to positions of judges of local courts

The High Council of Justice at its session on May 27, 2020, decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 22 candidates to positions of judges in local general courts of regions of Vinnytsia, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv, in district courts of Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv cities, namely:

Pohribniak Olena Mykolaivna – to the position of the judge of the Avtozavodskyi district court of Kremenchug of Poltava region;

On May 26, 2020, the HCJ continued the consideration of materials regarding making a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing judges to positions in local courts

On May 26, 2020, the High Council of Justice decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 37 candidates to positions of judges in local courts. Thus, in general, as of today the HCJ decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 320 candidates, applying for positions of judges in local general courts, out of 467 recommendations from selections from 2012, 2013, 2017 years.

On May 21 2020 the High Council of Justice decided to make submission on appointment of 36 candidates to the position of judges

On May 21 2020 the High Council of Justice continued consideration of materials on forwarding submissions to the President of Ukraine on appointment of candidates to the position of judges of local general courts. It was decided to forward to the President of Ukraine submission on appointment of 36 candidates to the local courts of Vinnytisa, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhya, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy regions, as well as district courts of cities of Dniepro, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv:

The High Council of Justice at its session on April 29, 2020, decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 20 candidates to positions of judges in local general courts of regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Kyiv, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy:

Volkova Yuliia Fedorivna – to the position of a judge of the Bilhorod-Dnustrovskyi city district court of Odesa region;

HCJ will make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 20 candidates to positions of judges in local general courts

The High Council of Justice at its session on April 28, 2020, decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 20 candidates to positions of judges in local general courts of regions of Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia,  Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Kharkiv:

KOSTELENKO Yana Yuriivna – to the position of a judge of the Synelnikivskyi city district court of Dnipropetrovsk region;

Courts that did not administer justice will resume their work: HCJ decided to make a submission to the President of Ukraine on appointing 20 candidates to positions of judges to local general courts

On April 27, 2020, the High Council of Justice started the consideration of materials on making a submission to the President of Ukraine regarding the appointment of candidates to positions of judges in local general courts. Candidates for positions of judges participate in the session of the High Council of Justice in the videoconferencing mode.

Such a decision was made to prevent the spread of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19, caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
